Masterclass Education are working closely with SEN schools to help them with both their temporary and long term staffing for this term and the new academic year! Our specialist SEN / SEMH team are currently looking for dedicated, reliable, and willing candidates to place within a variety of roles supporting students to achieve their goals.

As a teaching assistant, you are expected to support students with accessing their individualised curriculum and education pathway. You will need to be able to build a strong and trusting relationship, support them with their schoolwork but also be someone that they can talk to if they need to. Direct experience working within schools is not required; however, it is preferred; inexperienced candidates will be considered depending on transferable skills.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all our candidates. The ideal candidate would need to start as soon as they can.

  • To support the children’s progress across all areas of their development
  • Support and encourage positive behaviour management
  • Work with an individual (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling pupils to feel relaxed and happy
  • To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
  • To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
  • To be able to provide personal care if needed
