About The Role

We are seeking to appoint a high quality, compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover at a specialist SEMH setting for boys aged 7-16 years, located in a peaceful countryside setting close to Chichester. The school has an outstanding learning community with a strong track record of developing and supporting staff, ensuring they gain the skills and experience needed to help pupils achieve great things. They are seeking an energetic and resilient Teaching Assistant with high expectations and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs. What will you do:

  • To support working relationship with the pupils, acting as role model and setting high expectations.
  • To support pupils with special educational needs through the delivery of specific learning programmes to contribute to setting individual education plan targets and to reviews.
  • To monitor and evaluate pupils responses to learning activities and note their progress towards targets.
  • To advance learning when working with individuals, small groups and whole classes without the presence of the assigned Teacher.
