We are looking for passionate and resilient Teachers to work across SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) settings, supporting pupils who may have experienced challenges with their education, behaviour, emotional wellbeing or personal circumstances. SEMH teaching is about much more than delivering lessons. It is about building relationships, providing consistency and helping young people to re-engage with education and believe in their own potential.
We welcome teachers with a range of experience:
- SEMH, PRU or alternative provision settings.
- Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Mainstream secondary or primary education.
- Behaviour support or pastoral roles.
- Residential or youth settings.
- Other environments supporting vulnerable children and young people.
The role:
- Deliver engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment.
- Support pupils with their emotional and behavioural needs.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Work closely with colleagues and other professionals to support individual pupils.
- Adapt your approach to meet the needs of different learners.
