Masterclass Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful specialist primary school in Portsmouth that provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils aged 4β11 with a range of learning difficulties.

The Role
- Supporting children aged 4β11 with a variety of learning difficulties, including Autism, global developmental delay, and speech and language needs.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering fun, engaging, and differentiated lessons that meet each childβs individual learning goals.
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to help children develop key skills and confidence.
- Using strategies such as visual supports, sensory play, and communication aids (training provided if needed).
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and self-esteem in every pupil.
- Supporting children during lessons, playtimes, and transitions throughout the school day.
- Promoting a caring, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (school or care settings welcome).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with additional needs.
