Child Support Assistant (SEN) Worthing, West Sussex £81.75 a day Monday-Friday | 8.30am-3.30pm | Term time only ASAP start Position Overview: As a Child Support Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and group support to students with a variety of special educational needs. You will assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every child has the resources, guidance, and support they need to succeed academically and socially. Your role will be crucial in promoting positive learning experiences for students with diverse abilities. Key Responsibilities: * Assist students with special educational needs in a range of academic and social activities * Support students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups to ensure their individual learning needs are met * Help adapt and modify teaching materials and classroom activities to suit the needs of students with SEN * Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) * Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere * Observe and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) * Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays * Attend training sessions and meetings to further develop your skills and knowledge of SEN * Foster a supportive and safe environment for all students.
