We are seeking enthusiastic, adaptable and committed Supply Teachers to join our schools on a flexible basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching across a range of classes, ensuring pupils continue to receive a positive and engaging learning experience in the absence of their usual teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with provided lesson plans and the school's curriculum.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently, following school policies and procedures.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs and abilities of individual pupils.
- Monitor pupils' progress, understanding and engagement throughout lessons.
- Complete appropriate classroom and lesson records where required.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils in accordance with school policies.
- Work positively with teaching assistants, support staff and other members of the school team.
- Follow school procedures relating to attendance, safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour.
- Provide clear feedback to the regular class teacher regarding pupils' learning and behaviour where appropriate.
- Be flexible and willing to teach across different year groups or subjects, depending on the school's requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or appropriate teaching qualification.
- Previous teaching experience within a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
