Technical Business Analyst

Hybrid Role – Reading UK
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will:
- Work within a ‘rainbow team’ focused on live service support and managed releases for our Government client.
- Become a SME for the business processes and a range of the micro services that underpin that live service.
- Elicit requirements for changes to those micro services as part of wider Programme releases.
- Turn requirements into detailed, unambiguous and accurate specifications, where and as required.
- Support Design and implement top quality new software solutions, working alongside client stakeholders and your technical counterparts.
- Solve challenging technical problems using a structured and logical approach.
- Oversee the output of tested builds, ensuring these and meet agreed specifications.
- Continuously monitor and improve all aspects of the service.
Requirement:
- An aptitude for applying technology and structured problem solving
- At least a 2.1 in a technical subject – Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Maths – and good A Levels
- An ability to decipher business requirements and develop technical development specifications
- Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile environment
- Technically proficient in JAVA and SQL. Must be able to read JAVA/SQL to reverse engineer existing systems/solutions
- A record of accomplishment in delivering on project tasks and an ability to carry tasks through to completion.
- An ability to work in teams and learn quickly
- A demonstrated interest in and experience of using IT and software
- The role is largely client focused where an ability to build relationships with customers and strong communication skills are essential
- Confident and eager to take responsibility.
