The Program Manager is a senior digital delivery leader and seasoned Agile expert, accountable for embedding exceptional delivery practices across the Digital Prevention Services Portfolio. The role provides portfolio‑level leadership across multiple delivery teams and Delivery Managers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality outcomes while maintaining continuity of patient‑critical national services.

A core responsibility of this role is to lead and assure delivery readiness for supplier transition activities later this year, including mobilisation, handover, ethical‑wall operation within rainbow teams, knowledge transfer, and risk management. The post holder will operate with delegated authority, working closely with NHS England senior leadership, product and technical leads, and external suppliers to ensure stability, pace, and assurance. Prior experience delivering UK Government or NHS digital services is essential. Strong knowledge of GDS service standards and User‑Centred Design (UCD) is a significant advantage.

Strategic Delivery Leadership

Provide portfolio‑level accountability for delivery across Digital Prevention and Digital Screening services. Establish and maintain clear delivery control, including prioritisation, dependency management, risk and issue governance, and performance reporting. Own and maintain a rolling 12‑month delivery roadmap, aligned to quarterly objectives and NHS England strategic priorities. Act as a senior escalation point for complex delivery, commercial, and cross‑supplier issues.
