We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support a large-scale Legacy Platform Rationalisation and Data Enablement programme. The role will focus on infrastructure as code (Terraform), platform integration, and enabling data migration from legacy estates to modern target platforms such as NDIT and Palantir Foundry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform to support data platforms and integrations.
- Implement reusable, secure, and scalable IaC modules for environment provisioning across multiple estates.
- Support platform connectivity and integration between legacy platforms (DPS, DAE, SQL, CDP) and NDIT/FDP.
- Enable data migration and orchestration pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.
- Support controlled decommissioning of legacy infrastructure and services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure and platform deployments.
- Ensure compliance with governance and IG standards.
Required Skills
- AWS/GCP acceptable.
- Experience with Databricks/Spark, SQL Server, and data orchestration tools.
- CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Azure DevOps) and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Experience in legacy modernisation or platform migration programmes.
- Exposure to Palantir Foundry.
- NHS / Public Sector experience.
- Experience with platform decommissioning and cost optimisation.
- Security Clearance: Active UK SC clearance or eligibility to obtain SC.
