The New Business – Sales Lead will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities for Mastek (Secured Government). This role is suited to an individual with a strong background within consulting, systems integration or technology services environment looking to deliver complex digital transformation programmes across enterprise and public sector clients.

This is a pure new-business role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth, developing strategic client relations, shaping solutions, supporting bid activity and contributing to successful conversion of opportunity into revenue generating engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK market
  • Generate qualified leads through outbound sales, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and events
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Delivery, Presales and Leadership teams
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand client challenges and technology needs
  • Present tailored IT consulting solutions and value propositions
  • Prepare and contribute to the creation of value propositions, client proposals, solution documentation and commercial agreements
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Negotiate contracts and close new business deals
  • Ensure alignment between client requirement, delivery capability, commercial models and organisational strategy
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to shape client solutions
  • Maintain accurate lead, opportunity and forecasting on CRM underpinned by associated governance gates

Required skills and experience

  • Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation services including Cloud, AI, Data, Software Engineering, Managed services or Platform Modernisation
  • Network within DWP, MOJ or similar entities
  • Experience selling consultative or solution-based services
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
