Job Summary: Sr. Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for APIs and web applications using Cypress API Framework and Playwright to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software delivery. Candidate must have relevant experience of 3 to 6 Years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for RESTful APIs using Cypress API Framework.
- Develop and execute end-to-end UI and functional test automation using Playwright.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Implement robust test data management and test environment setup for API and UI automation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to drive timely resolution.
- Ensure appropriate test coverage for regression, integration, and system testing across services and applications.
- Create and maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
- Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure quality, reusability, and adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support performance, reliability, and security testing initiatives.

- Proven experience in Quality Engineering - API Automation Testing using Cypress API Framework (Technical).
- Proven experience in Quality Engineering - Automation Testing using Playwright (Technical).
- Hands-on experience with test automation in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript or similar).
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, methods, request/response structures, and API validation techniques.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar) for automated test execution.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum or Kanban).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
