Mastek is looking for an experienced and highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our growing ServiceNow Managed Services team and work on an exciting UK Public Sector engagement.

Location: Leeds โ€“ client office

Working Pattern: 2 days per week in Leeds

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer with a proven track record of designing, developing and implementing high-quality solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will join Mastek UK's established ServiceNow Managed Service, working within a growing and experienced team to deliver innovative, scalable and value-driven solutions for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a ServiceNow practice that has been recognised as a trusted ServiceNow partner.

Working collaboratively with customer and inhouse cross-functional teams, you will identify and deliver opportunities to improve processes, enhance platform and system efficiency - developing high-quality service management solutions that deliver measurable value for customers and support Mastek's continued growth.

The role will have a dual focus: contributing to the successful delivery of the Mastek ServiceNow teamโ€™s customer prioritised backlog, while leading hands-on innovation initiatives to drive continuous improvement, and support the development and bid opportunities of new business prospects.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Development & Configuration:

  • Design & Development: Design, develop and implement scalable, high-quality ServiceNow solutions aligned to customer requirements and platform best practice.
  • Platform Configuration: Configure ServiceNow modules, workflows, business rules, scripts, Flow Designer, UI components and other platform capabilities, adopting a configuration-first approach.
  • Integrations & Automation: Develop and maintain customer integrations, APIs and automation solutions to improve service efficiency and connect ServiceNow with external platforms.
  • Technical Quality & Governance: Ensure development meets technical standards for security, performance, maintainability and upgradeability, including code reviews, testing and technical documentation.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to leverage new ServiceNow capabilities and emerging technologies to enhance platform functionality, address technical debt and deliver innovative solutions for customers.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Serve as a technical lead, providing guidance and best practices across service operations platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating and documenting these into effective solutions.
  • Support internal Mastek growth and innovation workstreams as well as leading them.
  • Foster collaboration between ServiceNow and broader service operations tooling, ensuring integration and automation opportunities are maximised.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in service operations tooling, including observability and alerting.
  • Drive innovation by integrating and optimising monitoring solutions within service management workflows.
  • Develop proof-of-concept (POC) solutions for new features and capabilities across observability and ITSM platforms.
  • Lead cross-team initiatives to drive innovation, with the potential for reuse across multiple customer environments.

Service Operations Reporting & Insights:

  • Design and implement reporting solutions to provide real-time insights into service performance, incident trends, and operational health.
  • Utilise data analytics and explore machine learning models to predict potential service degradations and optimise resource allocation.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities to support compliance, audit, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Must Have Skills

  • Able to commute to the central Leeds office two days per week.
  • Able to design and read ServiceNow architectural design documentation and present these back.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Senior ServiceNow Developer.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules & processes underpinning; ITSM, ITOM, CSM, PA, CSDM & CMDB, Employee Centre & Integration Hub (REST & SOAP web services & API integrations).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow out of the box architecture.
  • Good understanding of other platforms such as; GitHub, Jira, Confluence
  • Proven experience in developing & implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform, driving thought leadership.
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, potentially across multiple customer environments.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Data Foundation (CIS-DF).
