About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Process Consultant to join a major digital transformation programme. This role is ideal for a seasoned business transformation professional who excels at analysing and optimising business processes, designing Target Operating Models (TOMs), and ensuring organisations are operationally ready to adopt new digital services and ways of working.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, engineers, operations teams, and change professionals to define, improve, and govern business processes that support successful digital and cloud-based service delivery. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in business process analysis, BPMN modelling, operational readiness, process governance, and business transition activities, helping deliver sustainable and measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business process analysis across digital transformation initiatives.
- Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) that support efficient, scalable, and sustainable service delivery.
- Drive operational readiness activities, including readiness assessments, process validation, training support, and go-live preparation.
- Establish and maintain process governance frameworks, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and decision-making structures.
- Lead business transition activities to support successful adoption of new systems, processes, and operating models.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, process discovery sessions, and requirements gathering activities.
- Utilise BPMN to model, document, and optimise business processes.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, operations, and change teams to translate business requirements into effective process solutions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and define KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and service performance.
- Ensure business processes align with compliance, risk, governance, and quality requirements.
- Support agile delivery teams by providing business analysis expertise throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Champion continuous improvement and process excellence across programmes and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Business Analysis, BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma, or related professional certifications are advantageous.
Required Skills
- Extensive commercial experience in Business Analysis, Business Process Consultancy, or Operational Transformation roles.
- Strong experience leading business process analysis and optimisation within complex organisations.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Target Operating Models (TOMs).
- Hands-on expertise in BPMN process modelling and process documentation.
- Experience leading operational readiness and business transition activities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Experience working in a techno-functional capacity, bridging business and IT teams.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, cloud, or enterprise technology programmes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives while maintaining focus on business outcomes and delivery objectives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working within Digital Application and Cloud Engineering environments.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience supporting enterprise modernisation or large-scale transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Process Excellence methodologies.
- Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Government, Healthcare, or Utilities.
- Experience operating within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
