We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and conscientious HR Advisor to join the team based at our Bootle site around three days per week and our other sites in Deeside and Daresbury as the role requires. The job holder will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the successful support of the business alongside the rest of the HR team. Working in line with the Employment law regulations and statutory requirements. The successful candidate should be willing to actively engage and contribute their technical knowledge, to aid the HR function and provide a high level of advice and support across the business.
Salary expectations - £30,000 - £35,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time
THE ROLE- Experience of working in a busy HR department
- Experience of supporting the whole employee life cycle
- To be the first point of contact for all general HR enquiries
- To provide advice and guidance to managers and employees in a variety of HR situations
- To provide support across a wide range of employee relations matters
- To issue contracts of employment and onboarding documentation accurately as well as changes and leavers
- To manage employee checks such as right to work, reference checks, medical checks, driving licences verification etc.
- To coordinate new starter inductions as appropriate to the role
- Support managers during probationary periods for new starters
- Experience of working with union representatives in a variety of situations
- To facilitate training with employees on various topics and to administer our training platform Vinci Works
- Maintain electronic employee files
- Process payroll data ready for payment, including overtime, sickness and any other absence.
- Administer family friendly absence correctly and in line with company policy.
- In addition to the specified duties the HR Advisor is expected to perform additional tasks that the company may require.
- CIPD level 3 (or working towards).
- GCSE Maths and English required.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a busy HR department at a HR administrator or officer level.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Confident in dealing with various situations.
- Experience of dealing with ER cases.
- Willing to travel between our sites at Bootle, Daresbury and Deeside.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- In addition to the specified duties the employee is expected to perform additional tasks when reasonably called upon to do so.
