Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Operative to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Walsall area.
THE ROLE
- Assemble metal components and fabricated products in line with engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Operate hand and power tools including drills, grinders, riveters, and impact drivers.
- Drill, deburr, and prepare components to required specifications.
- Carry out fettling and finishing work to remove sharp edges and improve product quality.
- Fit and secure components using mechanical fasteners and fixings.
- Perform visual quality inspections and report any defects or non-conforming parts.
- Be able to operate machinery ie: guillotine machines, press brakes machines, power press machinery etc.
- Support production targets while ensuring a high standard of workmanship.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering assembly environment.
- Competent using hand and power tools, particularly drills and grinders.
- Experience carrying out fettling, deburring, and finishing of metal components.
- Ability to read and follow basic engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks throughout the working day.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- A flexible attitude with a willingness to learn new assembly processes and techniques.

Monday β Thursday 06:00am - 14.00pm
Friday 06:00am - 12:00pm (39 hours per week)
Pay Rate Β£12.71ph
