Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Pay Rate: £14.50 per hour
We are currently recruiting for two Polishing / Preparation Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment in Oldbury. This is a hands-on role working with carbon fibre and ABS painted parts, requiring a good eye for detail and a high standard of workmanship.
We are looking for candidates with experience in both polishing and preparation processes , although candidates with strong experience in either area may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Polishing carbon fibre and ABS painted components
- Preparing parts ready for finishing and coating
- Carrying out sanding, preparation and polishing to a high standard
- Inspecting finished parts for imperfections and ensuring quality standards are met
- Working with a variety of materials and components
- Following production specifications and instructions
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Ensuring attention to detail is maintained throughout the process
- Working efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in polishing, preparation or a similar manufacturing environment
- Experience working with carbon fibre and/or ABS painted parts is advantageous
- Ideally, candidates will have an understanding of both polishing and preparation processes
- Excellent attention to detail
- High standards of workmanship and quality
- Good hand skills and a practical approach to work
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
