Masstemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation based in Kidderminster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products around the site, including loading and unloading vehicles and handling longer or specialist loads using a forklift truck fitted with a boom attachment.
This is a hands‑on role within a busy working environment and would suit someone who is confident operating a forklift, has experience with specialist attachments and takes safety and accuracy seriously.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift truck fitted with a boom attachment.
- Load and unload deliveries and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Move materials and products around the site.
- Handle long, awkward or specialist loads using the appropriate attachment.
- Store materials safely and correctly within designated areas.
- Assist with the movement of stock between different areas of the site.
- Ensure loads are secure and handled correctly to prevent damage.
- Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects or issues.
- Follow site traffic management and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Assist with general warehouse and yard duties when required.
- Work closely with colleagues across the site to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records where required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working as a Forklift Truck Driver in a warehouse, manufacturing or similar environment.
- Hold a valid forklift licence/certificate appropriate to the equipment being operated.
- Have proven experience using a boom attachment or similar specialist forklift attachment.
- Be confident handling larger, longer or awkward loads.
- Have a good understanding of safe forklift operation and workplace health and safety.
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Have a flexible and positive attitude towards general warehouse duties.
- Take pride in working safely and efficiently.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm
Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour
