Light Assembler/Machine Operator Location: Tipton Shifts: Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:00 Friday: 06:00 – 10:30 Masstemps are currently recruiting for a Light Assembler / Spot Welder on behalf of one of our busy clients based in the Tipton area. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for light, hands-on production work in a busy manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities: Operating a spot-welding machine. Assembling and joining metal rods together. Positioning thin steel rods (approximately the thickness of a coat hanger) vertically and horizontally. Placing the steel rods onto a rotating circular worktable. Aligning the metal rods correctly with the spot-welding machine. Using a foot pedal/press to operate the welding machine and join the metal together. Maintaining a steady workflow and ensuring products meet quality standards. The Ideal Candidate: Previous machine operating or production experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Good attention to detail. Able to carry out repetitive, light production duties.
