Masstemps are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator (counterbalance) to join our dynamic warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload goods within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks.
Duties:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and warehouse management systems.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and order processing.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in loading/unloading operations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Hours of work: Friday - 6am - 6pm, Saturday - 6am - 6pm, Sunday - 6am - 6pm, Monday - 10.30am - 6pm
Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour
