Masstemps Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time Toolmaker to join a busy and expanding company based in the Oldbury area.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Manufacture, modify, and maintain tooling including jigs, fixtures, and press tools to support production requirements.
- Carry out fine finishing work, including surface grinding operations such as regrinds and refinements to achieve tight tolerances.
- Rebuild and restore tooling to optimal condition, ensuring longevity and consistent performance.
- Set up and operate a range of workshop machinery including manual and CNC lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and pillar drills.
- Utilise EDM wire erosion processes to produce and modify complex tooling components with high accuracy.
- Perform tool repairs and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Inspect and verify components using precision measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, and gauges to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to enhance tooling performance and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Diagnose tooling issues and implement effective corrective actions in a timely manner.
Hours of work: 08:00am - 16:30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday - 08:00am - 15:30pm.
Pay Rate: £19.72ph.
