Position: Area Visual Merchandiser
Contract: Fixed Term Contract 12 Months
Location: Regent Street Store
Purpose: Responsible for all aspects of coordination and image in both Menswear and Ladieswear and to maximise sales through commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all departments are commercial and the standards are in line with the business objective.
- Lead by example in ensuring standards, image and commercial decisions are maintained in all stores across both UK and Ireland, in line with the company guidelines.
- Create a strong image in the stores, supporting the Brand Manager with driving sales and motivating the teams.
- Understand the UK and Ireland markets and communicate with the Brand Manager, Product Manager and the VM team in HQ, to ensure best selling product is in the stores, review stock package and react.
- Ensure selected products in the stores always represent the brand and meet customers’ expectations.
- Be well informed about current industry trends.
- Actively drive sales by implementing new ideas, building new initiatives and establish the correct image and standards in the different regions, accordingly to the customer profile.
- Plan and oversee all aspects of coordination and image of new store openings and store refurbishments.
- Oversee the training and development of potential internal Merchandisers candidates, to support the consistency of the image of the stores across the countries.
- Ensure own commercial awareness of forthcoming trends, colours and fashions is to the highest level and use this to drive the stores sales.
- Provide new projects and ideas for workshops and be able to constantly improve the image, standards and performance of the collections in the markets.
- Train, coach, develop and manage performance of all the Merchandising team across the country.
- Ensure all regional resources are fully utilized.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on building partnerships, to be able to analyze and use all the commercial tools and make decisions.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous fashion retail experience essential.
- Experience as a Regional Merchandiser, preferably in a similar environment.
- Excellent customer service experience.
- A fashion/textile design qualification is desirable but not essential.
