My client are looking to recruit experienced Liability Claims Handlers to join their Casualty teams. You will provide a quality claims service on behalf of clients and pro-actively handle claims in accordance with the insurers claims handling philosophy. Hybrid working office attendance required once a week.
Key duties:
- Establish if cover is in place for the claim, record all claims on the digital claims-handling system and ensure that all MI data is consistently and accurately recorded.
- Investigate claims either directly via desktop, or by instructing loss adjusters.
- Make decisions on liability and negotiate claim settlements.
- Ensure compliance with all legal timescales and client SLAs.
Key requirements:
- Liability Claims Handling experience.
- A professional and adaptable communication style both written and verbal.
- Efficient administrative skills.
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
- Experience of policy wording and terms and conditions, indemnity processes.
- Modern claims practice; The Civil Procedure Rules; MOJ protocols; Current case law and assessment of personal injury valuation and negotiations.
