Head of Finance – MGA

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Finance to join a growing Managing General Agent (MGA) business in London.
This is a senior finance leadership role offering the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, providing strategic financial insight, commercial guidance and constructive challenge to support business growth and profitability.
Moving beyond traditional financial reporting, you will act as a trusted business partner, helping shape strategy, evaluate investment opportunities and drive financial performance across the MGA portfolio. You will play a key role in ensuring financial planning and decision-making support the organisation's long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the principal finance partner to the Managing Director and MGA leadership team, providing commercial insight and strategic financial guidance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning across the business.
- Develop financial models, business cases and investment appraisals to support strategic decisions.
- Deliver meaningful management information, KPIs and performance reporting to drive accountability and informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency and overall financial performance.
- Support business development, new product launches, operational transformation and technology investment initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis and commercial challenge to support sustainable, profitable growth.
- Build strong relationships across the MGA businesses, Group Finance and wider stakeholder community.
- Support acquisitions, integrations and other strategic projects.
- Lead, develop and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Maintain robust financial controls, governance and reporting standards aligned with wider group objectives.
