About the role
My client is a specialist Managing General Agent who operates across multiple lines of business, including Property, PVT, Energy, Casualty, Marine, and Specialty classes, and provides innovative insurance solutions. They are committed to offering an efficient first-class service to their global Broking partners. As part of continued growth and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Senior Bordereaux Analyst to join their team and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data flow across delegated underwriting arrangements.
Key duties
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of bordereaux processing in relation to Risk, Premium and Claims across multiple complex lines of business. As the SME for bordereaux management, you will be liaising with underwriters and claim administrators, as well as brokers and capacity providers. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance data structures, strong technical proficiency in bordereaux management, and the ability to ensure data accuracy and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and underwriting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the processing of all bordereaux
- Responsible for producing and validating complex bordereaux reports
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies across various lines of business
- Act as the key contact to resolve issues that prevent the processing of bordereaux within agreed timeframes
- Liaising with underwriters and brokers to ensure accurate and timely submission of bordereaux and adherence to reporting standards
- Consult with capacity providers to support bordereaux reviews and audits
- Produce bordereaux MI reports and performance analytics
- Support the implementation and improvement of bordereaux management systems
- Ensure process and training documentation in relation to Bordereaux Management Procedures is kept up to date
Key requirements
- Solid experience in bordereaux management within an MGA, Lloyds syndicate, or Insurer environment
- Strong understanding of delegated underwriting, binding authority contracts, and bordereaux compliance requirements
- Experience managing multiple classes of business, ideally including Property, Liability, Marine and Specialty
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables
- Strong analytical mindset with an elevated level of accuracy and diligence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex workloads under tight deadlines
