Our client is a small, friendly, but established Chartered Certified Accountants based in the Braintree area of Essex. Due to growth within the business, we are looking to recruit a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join the team. Our client supports a wide range of clients from Sole Traders, SMEs to larger corporate clients, and so the role will offer a varied portfolio to work across providing accounting, tax and advisory services. This role can be tailored depending on your level of experience, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to continue developing technically while taking on greater client responsibility.
Main Duties
- Preparing statutory year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships from planning stage through to completion
- Preparing management accounts for a varied client portfolio, including more complex businesses should your experience lend
- Preparing partnership accounts and tax returns
- Managing deadlines and client expectations effectively
- Reviewing statutory and management accounts at first review stage
- Supporting clients with accounting software and Making Tax Digital requirements
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Handling client queries via telephone and email
Experience of Digita Software or Iris an advantage although not essential.
