Compliance Manager – Governance & Operations
My client is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager – Governance & Operations to join its Group Compliance function.
This is a broad, group-level governance and compliance role within a growing and acquisitive UK insurance business. You will play a key role in supporting the development and oversight of the Group's compliance framework, working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
This is not a traditional compliance monitoring role . It is an opportunity for a governance-focused compliance professional to become a trusted adviser to the business, supporting regulatory change, SMCR, FCA engagement, operational resilience, regulatory reporting and strategic business initiatives.
The Role
As Compliance Manager – Governance & Operations, you will help ensure that regulatory obligations are effectively embedded across the Group while supporting the business to navigate regulatory change and continued growth.
Working closely with the Group Compliance Director and senior stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the development and delivery of the Group Compliance Plan .
Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting the implementation of regulatory change.
Supporting interactions with the FCA , including coordinating responses to regulatory requests and enquiries.
Maintaining and enhancing governance frameworks, including SMCR, Statements of Responsibilities and Responsibility Maps .
Supporting oversight of Threshold Conditions and Adequate Resources assessments.
Coordinating compliance involvement in key regulatory initiatives including Operational Resilience, Wind-Down Planning and Third-Party Risk Management .
Supporting regulatory reporting and assurance activities.
Tracking and coordinating agreed compliance actions through to completion.
Providing compliance support to acquisitions, integration projects and wider strategic initiatives .
Producing meaningful governance insight and reporting to support senior management decision-making.
