Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Initial contact for electric media relations with customers, agencies, and key accounts, including press releases, outages, and conferences with all media outlets.
- Advertise with local media and community entities for corporate activities and relations.
- Design, implement, and manage all corporate social media and website graphics, images, and content.
- Public event coordinator and representative for electric activities, including local board, school, industry, and community event participation.
- Coordinate and provide outage, crisis, and other situational forms of communications both internal and external to TMLP.
- Develop a marketing and communications plan specific to meet TMLP's goals and objectives while supporting the various departments.
- Development of company-related print and electronic materials as assigned.
- Coordinate and manage the purchase of promotional items for all corporate initiatives while staying on budget.
- Coordinate the marketing and design of programs to meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and meet budgeted activities.
- Collaborate with the Internet Services Group to provide consistent corporate branding and advertising.
- Develop written/oral recommendations to expeditiously resolve customer issues including billing, rates, energy analysis, and other messages as needed by corporate.
- Coordinate value-added services information based on customer needs.
- Website form inquiry processing, delegation, and handling.
- Create and deliver training and presentations on behalf of TMLP for customer retention and/or recruitment at trade shows, business forums, community events, and any other venues.
- Administer, develop, and provide training on current energy service and marketing programs internally.
- Create and implement marketing strategies to promote energy efficiency, conservation, safety, public power, and others as assigned for customers.
- Assist with state, federal, and private entities for applicable grants pertaining to proposed programs.
- In coordination with the Sustainability & Commercial Development Specialist, advise customers on TMLP policies that affect their business via informational sessions, site visits, and quarterly newsletters.
- Assist and back-up as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration with a major course of study in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or Management preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in work closely related to the work of this position is required.
- Evidence of growth in abilities and skills in former responsibilities and potential for growth in this position desirable.
- Position requires sales, marketing, and communication skills to connect effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of the company and customer base.
- Position requires a high level of confidentiality that the candidate must exhibit.
- Ability to comprehend and easily communicate both concrete and abstract information related to the energy utility industry.
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign proficiency preferred.
- Social media design and aptitude required.
- Web design experience required and experience with WordPress preferred.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and must be willing and able to carry and answer a cell/mobile phone 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft GP is preferred.
Salary range: $83,000 - $108,000, commensurate with experience.
