The Lawrence Library seeks a talented, creative, and flexible Interlibrary Loan / Adult Services Librarian to join an established team of professionals at our public library. Working under the direction of the Library Director and Assistant Director / Head of Adult Services, this position provides exceptional interlibrary loan and adult services. The successful candidate will comfortably interact with the public, provide excellent reference and readers’ advisory services, and happily assist with collection maintenance and development. They must also be prepared to work collaboratively with other staff members in a sometimes fast‑paced and community‑focused setting. A sense of humor is essential in this role.
This position is 32 hours per week, including one evening and one Saturday per month; union, benefits‑eligible.
Academic & Experience Requirements- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master of Library Science (MLS) from an ALA‑accredited program strongly preferred.
- Three to five (3–5) years of library experience required; public library experience preferred.
- Experience with interlibrary loan systems, reference services, and library technology is desirable.
- Full Time Schedule: 32 hours per week, 1 evening, 1 Saturday per month.
- Salary Range: $25.47–$28.11 per hour.
