The Reference & Marketing Librarian helps shape the library’s public image and strengthen community engagement. This role supports the library’s marketing and communication efforts by creating promotional content, designing graphics, promoting events, and managing the library’s social media presence. The position also provides friendly reference and research assistance, helping patrons use library technology and access digital resources.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of professional library experience with program or event planning and marketing experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
- Experience with or ability to learn tools such as Canva, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media platforms.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technology and assist patrons with software and digital resources.
- Experience working with diverse communities and teams.
- Working knowledge of public library operations.
Full/Part Time: Full Time
Education: MLS/Masters
Salary Range: £74,486.16 - £88,373.65 per year
