The predicted salary is between 45000 - 58000 £ per year.

Permanent position based in St Neots (PE19) with a salary range of £45,000 - £58,000. Benefits include:

Join our expanding Electronic Warfare Operations Support Group (EWOS) consisting of over 60 electronic warfare specialists. We are looking to expand our team to plan and deliver complex test and trials activity within our state-of-the-art test and evaluation facility in response to increasing programme demand.

In this senior role, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and engineering governance, managing a small team of up to 3 engineers.
  • Coordinate practical planning and control of test and trials activity, including building schedules and managing readiness of assets and facilities.
  • Allocate work across the team, remove blockers, and maintain a controlled configuration baseline.
  • Lead laboratory-based test and trials activity through preparation, execution, and post-activity reporting.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring safe and consistent work.
  • Support capability development through coaching and regular 1:1s, set clear objectives, and manage performance.
  • Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to shape delivery plans and keep test and trials activity progressing.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Line management experience with the ability to support and develop engineers.
  • Proven experience coordinating test and trials activity in a laboratory or representative system environment.
  • Strong engineering approach with the ability to create and maintain clear plans and procedures.
  • Strong delivery governance skills, able to track and manage risks and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Comfortable working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Some exposure to the Electronic Warfare (EW) domain.
  • Strong organisation and documentation skills.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Experience using planning and delivery tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira/Confluence).
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering and test governance.
  • Experience developing repeatable procedures and maintaining a controlled configuration baseline.
  • Understanding of computer networking and networked systems.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Broader EW domain experience.
  • Experience coordinating external/internal contributors.
  • STEM degree (or equivalent experience) with a strong practical engineering mindset.
