Working alongside bid managers, technical specialists and commercial leads, you’ll help articulate the value of the services and solutions we deliver to highly secure organisations.

You’ll be comfortable working within formal bid governance processes, developing responses against evaluation criteria and collaborating with technical subject matter experts to shape compelling, evidence-based answers. How you’ll support us

You’ll play a central role in developing persuasive bid responses that align with customer requirements and evaluation criteria. Working closely with Bid Managers and subject matter experts across the business, you’ll shape and refine written responses that combine technical expertise, delivery capability and commercial value.

You’ll:

  • Lead content planning and storyboard sessions with bid teams and key stakeholders
  • Translate complex technical input into clear, structured responses aligned to evaluation criteria
  • Work with subject matter experts to extract knowledge through interviews and workshops
  • Support Bid Managers in shaping proposal structure, win themes and response strategy
  • Identify and adapt relevant pre-written material where appropriate
  • Develop and maintain high-quality exemplar responses for future opportunities
  • Edit and refine contributions from across the business to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Deliver completed responses to agreed deadlines and escalate risks where needed
  • Support colleagues in developing strong bid writing practices

You’ll also contribute to maintaining and improving MASS’s internal knowledge base and content library, helping ensure we continuously improve how we respond to opportunities.

The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more

We’re expecting that you’ve worked in a similar role before and are comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-moving commercial environment.

  • Advanced MS Word skills and proficiency across the MS Office suite

  • Experience writing bids within the defence, technology or government sectors
  • Familiarity with structured bid methodologies and evaluation criteria

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience creating graphics using InDesign or similar tools
