Job Summary: The position is represented by a collective bargaining unit, Massachusetts Nurses Association. We seek a full-time, 40-hour RN to join the “Paul Revere” team. The majority of your time will be in Dorchester, with support for Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, and Roxbury. City parking passes will be secured for new team members.
Responsibilities: Your role as a Registered Nurse is to serve as a case manager, overseeing the full plan of care and coordinating with LPNs, therapists, and social workers. You will typically complete 5–6 visits per day, Monday through Friday, with time allotted for documentation, chart review, and coordination. You will provide quality clinical services in various community settings, adhering to MGB Healthcare at Home policies and standards. Skills required include assessment, teaching, treatment, documentation, and care coordination with a focus on high quality customer service and financial awareness.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Current Massachusetts license as Registered Nurse
- Minimum of one year of previous nursing experience in an acute care setting (prior home care experience preferred)
- Travel required within the MGB Healthcare at Home geographic area
- Ability to use various computer software; knowledge of hand-held patient care computer devices preferred
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work with a diverse population
- Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team of health care providers
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and adapt to unpredictable circumstances
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and adapt to changing situations
Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, to support your professional growth and development.
Pay Range: $40.09 – $71.12 per hour (inclusive of all compensation components and benefits).
