Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy surgical office at Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery- Massachusetts General Hospital. The Medical Assistant will support physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff in providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting and rooming patients, obtaining vitals
Preparing exam rooms and assisting with minor in-office procedures
Assisting with wound care and post operative surgical care
Coordinating patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
Supporting providers with clinical and administrative tasks as needed
Maintaining supplies, equipment, and a clean, safe environment
Qualifications:
Co-op or work experience in a healthcare setting required
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
EMR/Epic experience a plus
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered surgical practice at MGH

Experience
Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field. 0-1 year required

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff.
– Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
– Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
– Proficient in using basic computer software.
– Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute as part of a healthcare team.
– Knowledge of healthcare regulations and privacy laws is an asset.
