Come and join our expanding Electronic Warfare Operations Support Group (EWOS) which is made up of 80+ Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) specialists.
From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists, and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve true operational potential and help keep their people and platforms safe.
Do you enjoy developing software models to add realism and scale to scenarios?
This role blends virtual and constructive players with live hardware models to achieve the most realistic testbed outside of testing in the real-world.
Your skills as a physics or software modeller will be showcased as part of our first-of-its-kind synthetic range.
With the continued proliferation of visible light-based (electro-optical) game engines, the use of state-of-the-art commercially available software is a must in any synthetic range.
Working full-time at our St Neots site, you will help deliver high-importance synthetic trials to a variety of government and industry partners, each with their own requirements to be verified.

Experience writing test automation scripts for real-time systems (MATLAB, Python, Lab View etc.).
Experience working within a Virtual or Constructive environments (e. g. integrating software models, scripting behaviours, and synchronising outputs).
Experience integrating software or hardware models (deployed to bespoke real-time operating systems), using ICDs/APIs to ensure behaviour and timings are correct.
Generation of test harnesses for software model interfaces (TCP/IP, UDP, JTAG, UART, Digital IQ etc.).
Development of virtual scenarios (including players, terrain, atmosphere, behaviour) using commercial software (VR Forces, MACE, VBS4, Infinite Studio etc.) to meet customer testing requirements.
Knowledge of network architectures and debugging/fault finding (packet loss/delay, rubber-banding etc.).
Awareness of software development best-practices (source control, unit testing etc.).
