Radio Frequency Modelling Engineer – Permanent – Full Time
On-site Based:Porton Down, Salisbury
- £40,000 – £75,000 -Dependant on experience (we are recruiting at all levels – Engineer, Senior and Principal Engineer).

Our Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) Group is made up of 60+ electronic warfare specialists. From all manner of backgrounds, our engineers, scientists and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help our customers achieve their true operational potential and ultimately help keep their people and platforms safe.
How you’ll support us
Working primarily on-site with the wider project team, youwill be focussing and offering your expertise on the subject of Radio Frequencies (RF) and their effect on the modelling of weapons systems.

Working within the Air or Maritime countermeasure team you will have access to a variety of projects, covering modelling & simulation in software, synthetic, and real-world environments.
Your understanding of radar processing, operation, and doctrine will help to generate verified models that inform tactics, techniques, and procedures used on the front-line.
We’re expecting that you’ve got hands-on experience in this field.
Essential:
- Degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g. Maths, Physics or Engineering, inc Software Engineering).
- Knowledge of model and simulations techniques to real-world scenarios
- RF domain knowledge and/or RF modelling experience (e.g. RF environments, RF Threat system understanding, RF countermeasure development)
- Experience in running simulations, developing and running models on a Linux Operating System and common Linux tools (BASH, PERL)
- Experience in the use of models and tools in order to provide evidence data (MATLAB and Python)
Desirable:
- Digital signal processing
