- Troubleshoot and resolve reported helpdesk issues
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Contribution to software asset management

- Attend and contribute to meetings that approve system changes to operational and development platforms
Essential Experience:
- Good knowledge and experience of deploying, upgrading and updating operating systems, applications and infrastructure
- Ability to resolve ICT systems issues in response to triaged help desk tickets, and assist in resolving second and some third line technical issues
- Good knowledge of patch management and deployment (e.g. WSUS)
- Proficient knowledge of virtualisation on Windows platforms (especially VMWare (ESXi))
- Proficient in following ITIL standards and processes
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, including Active Directory, DFS, Internet Protocol, and software deployment via Group Policy
- Some understanding of Unix/Linux/RedHat
Personal Competencies:
- Willing to work as part of an integrated multi-technology team
- Appreciation, acceptance and adherence to the constraints of working on highly classified defence platforms
