POSITION:Employment Coordinator - Support/Hourly Staff

LOCATION: Board Office

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma; advanced education preferred.

2. Three to five years experience working in the field of Human Resources services, preferably in a public school setting.

3. Strong technology skills; knowledge of HR information systems, applicant-tracking systems, databases, electronic forms, Word and Excel.

4. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

5. Ability to set, manage, and coordinate multiple priorities.

6. Possess problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

7. Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines and frequent interruptions.

8. Ability to effectively initiate and supervise projects to their conclusion.

9. Knowledge of various legislation as it relates to school personnel.

10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

11. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills in order to effectively interact with all district staff and the public.

12. Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Human Resources

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains compliance with established legal and District requirements related to the pre- and post-employment processing of support/hourly staff.

2. Posts and maintains support/hourly job openings and supports applicant processing, interview eligibility, and selection procedures.

3. Responds to inquiries regarding the employment process for support/hourly positions and serves as a primary Human Resources contact for routine employment matters.

4. Processes employment offers and coordinates new hire processing and onboarding for support/hourly staff.

5. Maintains and updates employee records, databases, and HR information system data for support/hourly staff.

6. Prepares, processes, and inputs Personnel Change Sheet information and other approved personnel actions for support/hourly employees.

7. Processes assignment changes, transfers, changes in hours or status, and other authorized employment changes for support/hourly staff.

8. Processes retirements, resignations, and other separations for support/hourly employees, including required documentation and records updates.

9. Processes employment-status changes associated with approved leaves of absence in coordination with the Benefits and Leave Administration function.

10. Administers employment-related Informed K12 forms and associated records for support/hourly staff, including routing, approval tracking, and retention.

11. Supports administration of the support-staff evaluation process, including tracking, communications, document workflow, and record maintenance.

12. Supports SafeSchools/Vector online training requirements for support/hourly staff, including employee communications, completion tracking, and follow-up as assigned.

13. Coordinates with Payroll, Benefits, supervisors, and other Human Resources staff to ensure employee changes are communicated and processed accurately and timely.

14. Supports required pre-employment clearance and eligibility processes for support/hourly hires in coordination with the designated centralized Human Resources background-clearance function.

15. Assists with support/hourly recruitment initiatives, job fairs, hiring events, and other talent-pipeline activities.

16. Assists with support-staff professional development and training administration, including tracking required hours or completion information as assigned.

17. Prepares and maintains support/hourly employment calendars, recurring reports, tracking tools, and documentation needed for effective staffing operations.

18. Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel, applicant, employment, and other information of a sensitive nature.

19. Identifies unusual contractual, compliance, staffing, or performance-related matters and refers them to the Assistant Director of Human Resources.

20. Coordinates and/or participates in special projects, process-improvement efforts, cross-training, department activities, and other duties as assigned.

SALARY:Coordinator salary schedule range

$63,129-$80,317

52 weeks per year

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus.
