About Mason's Meats

At our core, we’re more than just a meat snack. We’re not a product, we’re a movement - a return to real food in a world full of chemicals, fillers and artifice. We make premium beef jerky and meat snacks using just two ingredients: premium British and Irish grass-fed beef and sea salt. No additives. No sugar. No nonsense.

We’re looking for a UK-based Social Media Manager to join our fast-growing team, who understands our culture, storytelling, and possibility to do international travels.

The Role

This is a hands-on, fast-paced, creative role for a self-starter who thrives working autonomously and lives and breathes social media. You’ll be responsible for capturing, editing and publishing content for Mason’s Meats and Mason Survival (Michael Mason’s personal channel) across Instagram and TikTok. You’ll spend 1 day per week shadowing Michael, our co-founder, at the farm in Crowborough and in production, filming real moments, behind-the-scenes processes, conversations, and ideas as they happen. This is not a desk-only role. You’ll be close to the product, the people, and the story. You’ll be UK based, reporting into the Director of Marketing (London based).

Requirements

  • Content Creation
    • Film short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories)
    • Edit content in-app or using tools like CapCut / Adobe / Final Cut
    • Capture behind-the-scenes footage at the farm, during production, events, and tastings
    • Shadow Mike, capturing content of him at the farm in Crowborough. He is based in Brighton
    • Create visually strong, on-brand content that feels natural, not overproduced
    • Work in tandem with the marketing/growth teams to ensure organic socials are cohesive with paid ads
  • Channel Management
    • Plan, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
    • Write captions in Mason's Meats' tone of voice
    • Engage with the community via comments and DMs where appropriate
    • Support campaign launches (product drops, limited editions, Christmas etc)
    • Grow Mason's Meats and Mason Survival audiences and engagement
    • Launch our TikTok, exploring avenues like TikTok Shop
  • Trend & Culture Spotting
    • Stay on top of social trends, formats, sounds, and memes
    • Identify which trends fit Mason's (and which don’t)
    • Quickly turn relevant trends into brand-appropriate content
  • Creator Management
    • Help source and brief UGC creators
    • Help run the affiliate / ambassador program - led by marketing team
  • Reporting
    • Track and report on KPIs
    • Share simple weekly performance summaries with the whole team and in-depth quarterly reports
    • Identify which content formats, hooks and themes are performing best
    • Feed insights back into content creation and campaign planning

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience managing and growing a brand on Instagram and TikTok
  • Demonstrable filming and editing skills (especially short-form video)
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Someone that is comfortable being on-site and filming people in real environments
  • Confident, proactive and culturally aware
  • Organised, reliable, excellent written communicator and able to work independently
  • Passion for food, health, fitness is a big plus

Benefits

  • Hybrid Role with on-site days in Crowborough/Brighton
  • Competitive Salary and Performance Related Bonus
  • Occasional international travel (Europe and USA)
  • Incredible opportunity to grow with Mason's Meats as we scale
  • At least one team away trip per annum
