We're recruiting a skilled Manual Lathe Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business on the Wirral.

This is a great opportunity for a time-served engineer who enjoys traditional machining, varied work and being part of a small, experienced team.

The business has an excellent reputation for looking after its people. Several engineers have been with the company for decades, and this position has become available due to retirement.

The role:

  • Manual turning using Dean Smith & Grace, Colchester Mastiff and Ajax lathes
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Machining components to tight tolerances
  • Varied precision engineering work across multiple industries

What we're looking for:

  • Experienced Manual/Conventional Turner
  • Confident reading engineering drawings
  • Able to work accurately to tight tolerances
  • A genuine passion for engineering and quality workmanship

Hours: 38 per week

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am-2:30pm

Benefits: 23 days holiday + bank holidays, overtime available, free parking and on-site canteen.
