We've partnered with an innovative biotech company at the forefront of gene editing safety, developing cutting-edge genomics platforms that help make next-generation cell and gene therapies safer and more precise. We’re looking for an experienced computational scientist to lead customer-facing bioinformatics projects, develop scalable Nextflow pipelines, and analyse complex NGS datasets to deliver impactful scientific insights.
What you’ll work on:
- Bioinformatics pipeline development (Nextflow, Python, cloud/AWS)
- Analysis of genome editing and off-target sequencing data
- Client-facing scientific reporting and technical presentations
- Cross-functional collaboration across R&D, software, and commercial teams
- Building new analytical tools and workflows for advanced gene editing applications
Ideal background:
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field
- Industry or highly relevant postdoctoral experience (minimum 2 years industry preferred)
- Strong Python + NGS analysis skills
- Practical experience developing bioinformatics pipelines in Nextflow
- Experience with cloud workflows, containers, and Git
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
