Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: North London

Salary: £30K (Term time only + 6 days)

Role Overview:

This is a replacement hire. The predecessor served in the role for 5 years, earning 2 promotions and taking on additional responsibilities.

We are seeking a highly organised and personable Logistics Coordinator with exceptional attention to detail and a logical mindset. In this role, you will be the logistical maestro of the school, ensuring everyone knows exactly where they need to be and when. Your problem-solving skills and experience in organising rotas and complex timetables will be essential to our high-functioning, efficient, and fast-paced school office.

This role is onsite 5 days per week. Hybrid pattern isn’t offered.

Working Hours:

  • Mon-Thurs: 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Fri: 7:30am – 3:30pm

Time Off:

  • 1 month off in summer (-4 days)
  • 1 week off in October (-2 days)
  • 2 weeks off in December
  • 2 weeks off in April
  • 1 week off in May

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Deputy Head to assist in creating a full school timetable.
  • Schedule cover lessons when a teacher is absent.
  • Create a timetable for all lessons.
  • Manage and update the school duty rota, ensuring timely and accurate cover for duties when staff are absent.
  • Send reminder emails to staff regarding logistical timings and instructions.
  • Prepare timings for the last day of each term.
  • Support the Office Manager and contribute to the smooth running of the office.
  • Collaborate with the office team, assist with parent calls, and duties as required.
  • Keep logistics how-to guides up to date.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working on your initiative.
  • Microsoft Office, Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work as part of and contribute to the school administrative team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage your workload.
  • Methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in timetabling on a large scale is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm for solving analytical problems or puzzles is key.
