MCA are seeking a Structural Engineer with a strong interest in Building Conservation to join our busy York built heritage and refurbishment team. You will be working on Listed Buildings and Scheduled Ancient Monuments as well as non-designated heritage assets across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Potential recruits must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and be aiming for Chartered status. The role requires excellent analytical and report-writing skills, and a willingness to survey structures at height and within derelict buildings with appropriate risk mitigation. You will also need strong communication skills and be comfortable with meeting clients and construction professionals. Self-motivation, a methodical approach and an enthusiasm for this sector are all essential.
