Our client, a private investment firm is seeking to hire an Investment Associate based in their London office. This position will focus on investment opportunities within the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyse potential investment opportunities
- Lead due-diligence and deep-dive on new investments
- Build and maintain financial models to support transactions and valuation analysis of prospective investments
- Monitor activities with portfolio companies – providing analysis of performance and tracking monthly/quarterly financial information
- Support with the management of portfolio companies, including operational and strategic decisions, as well as preparation for exit
- Undertake vital analysis on market trends to support investment decisions on new transactions and portfolio companies
- Assist with developing and formulating meeting materials and reports as part of presentations for Investment Committee
- Develop strong working relationships with other teams internally including Business Development, Investor Relations and Operations/Finance
Candidate Requirements:
- 3-4 years’ relevant experience as an analyst within investment banking, private equity/venture capital, corporate finance, transaction services or equivalent
- Experience with life sciences investments would be desirable
- Self-motivated, proactive and hard-working with a high level of commercial acumen
- Team player and excellent communicator
- Exceptional financial modelling skills
- Positive attitude towards problem solving
- Strong analytical ability and numerate
- Excellent academic background
