This role sits within the UK distribution business as part of the UK & Ireland wholesale sales team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated business development professional with a proven track record of growing assets and building long-term client relationships within the UK wholesale market.
The position focuses on new business development and relationship management across the South of England, including the South West, South East, Midlands and East Anglia. The role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and the ability to operate effectively in a performance-driven, regulated environment. All duties must be carried out in line with internal policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Promote the firm's full range of investment strategies through proactive client engagement, including face-to-face and virtual meetings.
- Primary focus on developing new business within the UK intermediary and DFM market, particularly across Southern UK regional advisory and wealth channels.
- Maintain and deepen existing client relationships to drive sustainable asset growth.
- Work closely with sales support, marketing, client portfolio managers and investment teams to deliver consistent and high-quality client coverage.
- Represent the firm at relevant industry conferences and events, and organise regional investor events to enhance brand visibility.
- Deliver against individual sales objectives and contribute to wider team revenue and growth targets.
- Partner with client service teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of client activity via the CRM system.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly management reporting.
- 6-8+ years experience in Business Development within Asset Management.
- Demonstrable investor and intermediary network within the UK wholesale market, particularly across the South of England.
- Proven ability to originate new business and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of investment products, asset allocation and macroeconomic drivers.
- Excellent presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Highly motivated, results-driven and commercially minded.
