Based in central London, this is a close‑kith organisation where individuals can make a genuine impact. They offer a collaborative environment with broad exposure across the business, giving employees the opportunity to build knowledge and experience across multiple areas of investment management.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Investment Operations Analyst to support the monitoring and maintenance of investment restrictions and the firm's investable universe across its portfolios, helping ensure risk data is accurate, comprehensive and appropriately represented.
The role coordinates the timely and accurate delivery of reporting to internal and external stakeholders, provides cover for performance reporting, and works collaboratively within Investment Operations and across the wider business. There is also scope to contribute to projects and practical improvements across Reporting, Performance and Risk Operations, while supporting the development of junior colleagues.

- Updating and maintaining restriction rules in Charles River, including changes driven by new fund launches.
- Working across the trade lifecycle, day-to-day, weekly and monthly, to ensure restrictions, risk data and reporting remain accurate and current.
- Getting hands‑on with the detail, this is a role for someone who wants to do the work directly, not oversee it from a distance.
Main Responsibilities
Investment Restrictions
- Take ownership of the day-to-day monitoring and maintenance of pre- and post-trade investment restrictions in Charles River.
- Ensure investment restrictions accurately reflect client mandates and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the principal point of expertise on investment restrictions, providing guidance and support to colleagues across the business.

- Contribute to and deliver agreed projects across Reporting, Performance and Risk Operations.
- Ensure processes within the role's remit are clearly documented and regularly reviewed.

- Support the production and delivery of performance reports, providing cover for the Performance Analyst when required.

- Provide agreed management information and exception reporting to the Head of Operations in a timely manner, where appropriate.
Core Experience
You will be an experienced investment operations professional, ideally with 6+ years' relevant experience, who enjoys working with data, solving problems and improving how things are done, with a strong eye for detail and a sound understanding of operational controls. This is a hands‑on role, well suited to someone who wants to be doing the work rather than simply overseeing it.
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of investment restrictions and a solid understanding of how they work in practice, with the ability to bring this together from a reporting perspective.
- Proficiency in Charles River is essential.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle across daily, weekly and monthly delivery cycles.
- Broad investment operations experience and an understanding of end-to-end operational workflows.

- Experience identifying and implementing practical improvements to operational processes, reporting or controls.
- A collaborative approach, with effective communication skills and the ability to work well across the business.
- Well organised, with the judgement to manage competing priorities, take ownership of tasks and work independently when required.
- An understanding of the regulatory and control requirements relevant to investment operations.
Experience That Adds Value
- The Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or another relevant qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
