Our client, a highly regarded institutional asset manager, is looking to hire an experienced ESG engagement professional to help support the growth of the firm’s company engagement process.
This is a newly created position to represent the firm on some of the most important issues facing society and the investments they make. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and successfully implementing the engagement programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive corporate engagement activities and support the development of an engagement agenda
- Research themes for engagement and collaborate with fund managers and analysts to prioritise objectives
- Manage progress of engagement programmes against objectives
- Engage with industry consultations on ESG issues
- Build important working relationships with the Investment team and assist with investment-related projects
- Contribute to presentations for existing and prospective clients
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant experience in an ESG engagement role at another buy-side firm
- Understanding of institutional investors and financial markets
- Strong academic background, educated to degree level
- Proven presentation, communication and influencing skills
- Driven, strategic thinking and ability to manage and strengthen working relationships
- Ability to engage with clients, corporates and industry bodies at a high level
