A leading global asset manager is seeking an experienced Market Intelligence professional to contribute to the development of a greenfield site within the business. This newly-created position will play a critical role in shaping the firm’s commercial direction. This is initially a 12-month contract, with the view to be extended and/or potentially made permanent with a subsequent team build-out, in line with company success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide rigorous, evidence-based assessments of markets, products, and competitors to inform key decisions across the organisation.
  • Identify shifts in investor behaviour and industry dynamics to keep the firm ahead of the curve.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive data and peer comparisons to inform internal positioning and strategic choices.
  • Research emerging trends and new product themes to ensure the firm stays at the forefront of innovation and evaluate the commerciality of the existing shelf.

Stakeholder Support:

  • Deliver insights and competitive positioning to Sales teams;
  • Identify market opportunities and gaps for Investment teams;
  • Support new product launches and go-to-market plans;
  • Contribute to marketing strategies and campaign content with data-driven insights.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior comprehensive experience in marketing intelligence, competitor analysis, market research etc. with a proven record of supporting product launches and business growth initiatives.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data and identifying patterns through performance benchmarking and peer group analysis.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and support business planning, product gap analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to share insights with internal stakeholders to support business goals.
  • Experience of using datasets such as Morningstar, Broadridge etc. to create user-friendly reports.
