Junior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

A leading Asset Management firm is looking to add an investment professional to the Fixed Income desk.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate alpha trade idea generation within Fixed Income and present ideas to Portfolio Managers.
2. Conduct detailed analysis on a range of global and emerging market macro-economic issues.
3. Research, develop, and maintain fixed income market models.
4. Develop and maintain portfolio management tools in Python and SQL.
5. Participate in creating new datasets on market flows and positioning, creating initial visualisation of this data for Portfolio Managers.

Candidate Profile:

1. Around 2-5 years’ relevant fixed income investment experience at a reputable buy-side or sell-side organisation.
2. Passion for investments and financial markets.
3. Programming skills and experience (Python, R, or Matlab) would be preferable.
4. Degree educated in Maths, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar subject.
5. Strong communication skills and a “can do” attitude.
6. Excellent attention to detail.
