Job Description
A leading investment manager with a proven track record in credit markets is seeking a Credit Research Associate. The role will focus on high yield bonds and leveraged loans, providing in-depth company and sector analysis to support investment decisions across credit strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed fundamental research on European and US high yield issuers and leveraged loan borrowers including financial modelling and capital structure evaluation.
- Monitor portfolio positions and provide timely updates on credit performance and industry developments
- Produce investment notes for discussions with Portfolio Managers and other analysts to formulate investment ideas
- Perform relative value analysis on new opportunities across primary and secondary markets
- Keep up-to-date on market trends, regulatory changes and macroeconomic drivers impacting leveraged credit markets
Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years of experience in credit research, leveraged finance, restructuring or a related field
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to assess cash flow sustainability and capital structures
- Solid understanding of credit documentation
- Ability to articulate investment views clearly with conviction
- Self-motivated and proactive nature
