A global asset management firm is looking to hire a Product Development & Strategy Associate to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will support across the full product lifecycle from idea generation through to launch and ongoing product enhancements across a wide range of asset classes and structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and launch of new products across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives and private markets.
- Support key stages of the product life cycle including research, commercial analysis, documentation, legal requirements, regulatory filings and cross-functional coordination.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Investments, Distribution, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Marketing to ensure successful delivery of product initiatives.
- Conduct market, competitor and regulatory analysis to help identify trends, gaps and opportunities in the product range.
- Help maintain and monitor product pipelines, project trackers and governance submissions.
- Support with product management activities.
- Prepare materials for internal committees and contribute to product strategy discussions.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in the asset management industry, ideally in product development; however, transferable experience from other relevant areas of asset management or consulting will be considered.
- Broad investment knowledge across multiple strategies, combined with a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in the UK, US, Ireland and Luxembourg, as well as the institutional and wholesale investor markets.
- Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks including UCITS, AIFMD and MiFID II.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- A proactive, structured and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Law, Business or related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, IMC) are a plus but not essential.
